Hiking in the Cilento National Park

The Cilento is a paradise for hikers. Between rugged mountains and the crystal-clear sea, you will find trails for every level. Here are our personal top 5 recommendations:

1. Monte Vesole

One of the most beautiful viewpoints in the region. The trail leads through shady beech forests to the summit plateau. From there, you have a 360-degree view of the Gulf of Salerno and the interior of the National Park.

2. Giungano Waterfalls (Solofrone)

A hidden gem right in our neighborhood. This trail takes you down into the valley of the Solofrone river. You'll discover ancient Roman bridges and refreshing waterfalls nestled in lush greenery. Perfect for hot days!

3. Monte Tresino

This coastal hike connects Agropoli with Castellabate. You walk through Mediterranean scrubland with constant views of the sea. Highlight: The ruins of the abandoned village of San Giovanni.

4. Punta Licosa

A gentle walk along the coast from San Marco di Castellabate. Legend says the siren Leucosia drowned here. You'll reach a small lighthouse facing a private island – one of the most enchanted places in Italy.

The "Guardian of the Cilento". This hike leads to the chapel at the summit. The panoramic view is unparalleled: on clear days, you can see all the way to Capri and even the Sicily coast is sometimes visible.
